Understanding Trans Identity is an educational resource dedicated to the thoughtful exploration of identity, gender identity, and the psychological factors that influence how people come to know themselves.
Drawing on more than forty years of clinical experience, psychoanalytic thinking, published research, books, lectures and interviews by Marcus Evans and Susan Evans, this website brings together selected resources for clinicians, parents, researchers, students and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of gender identity and the clinical questions it raises.
Our aim is simple: to create a place where difficult questions can be explored carefully, respectfully and without ideological pressure.
